Historie společnosti

DOORNITE s.r.o.

The beginning of door production in Jihlava dates back to the 1960s. The company Jihomoravské dřevařské závody was established in 1957 in Jihlava, where a substantial part of the production of doors for housing construction in the former Czechoslovakia was based. Further development of the company was significantly affected in 1994 through privatization, turning the company into a joint-stock venture called Jihlavské dřevařské závody, from which Kronospan, Kronodoor and Kronomech were subsequently created in 1997.

In 2004, Kronodoor was incorporated into the Masonite group, and since 2006 Masonite CZ has had its headquarters in Jihlava in Hruškovy Dvory.

On June 14, 2021 the Czech investment company DOOR INVESTMENT s.r.o. bought Masonite Corportation. Since then, the traditional Czech door manufacturer is once again 100% in Czech hands. Naturally, the company’s strategy remains the same. Our priority into the future is to maintain being the largest door manufacturer in the Czech Republic, and to further advance our position not only in domestic markets, but in all export markets as well.
